David Bellochio
After graduating as "Most Valuable Jazz Musician" Dave took his jazz piano
skills and opened Marion Recording Studios. One of his first clients was a
group who went by the name of "The New Style" and soon Tommyboy records with
Dave's keyboard and programming wizardy would transform them into one of the
biggest Hip Hop acts of their day. Naughty By Nature started working with
Dave when all they had was a turntable and a dream. The Grammy nominated
"O.P.P." and the self titled album from which it came would go on to sell
countless millions of albums and singles and became the seminal Hip Hop/Pop
sound of it's day. The mix of Dave's jazz flavored keyboards and arranging
acumen mixed with NBN's hard core street beats and Treach's raps created
what would define modern day hip hop. All the hit NBN records would follow
as well as albums by Zhane (Hey Mr DJ), Queen Latifah, Coolio, Michael
Jackson (Scream), Daryl Hall and Hall & Oates. Soon after Dave began playing
guitar and working with a young rock singer-songwriter named Stacy Wilde.
This collaboration would lead to a single with Kool and the Gang and other
song cuts as well as Stacy's own publishing deal with EMI's Evan Lamberg and
record deal with Atlantic for which Dave co-write, arranged, produced and
mixed the entire album as well as playing most of the instruments. Today he
splits his time between songwriting, producing,film/tv and jingle scoring
and composing as well as artist developement.
